Kelso Pentagonal Group

The Kelso Pentagonal Group is a jazz, funk, and experimental music ensemble based out of Edmonton, Alberta. The group gets its name from bassist and composer Kessler Douglas, who assembled the quintet with some of his favorite young players in order to present his compositions in 2018. Highlights include the premiere of Kessler’s instrumental opera “Drifting Apart” in 2019 and the Album Release concert for “Hellas” in 2021 featuring saxophonist Jacob Do, All members take part in the composing, playing, and improvising process.
